300dpi vs 96dpi
I just realized that the 5900 takes 300dpi in verticle but 96dpi in verticle. Why is this? Have I pushed a wrong button somewhere?

Sluggish Operation

I dropped it on the kitchen counter! Help!
While I was getting ready to replace the battery, I dropped it on the kitchen counter! The "vr" cover is sprung as well as the battery cover is out of alignment. After trying to open the battery cover, it does open after several trys for replacement.

trouble with shooting jewelry photos

Camera Flash
Internal flash will not open even when the button is pushed. Flash goes off with cover down. I can still use my external flash,but would like be able to use either one. Any ideas?

My camera will not open the lens. The batteries are good. The ready light flashes three times and will not open the lens. It will open sometimes but once shut off, it may not open until several hours have passed.

Lens Error
Upon turning on my camera my lens with move forward, back into the camera, forward, back into my camera again while making a "camera functioning" noise. The screen reads "Lens Error" with a red exclaimation point. I can now not take any pictures or use any other functions of the camera.

Lens won't fully extend or retract
I've had this camera about 3 years. It has worked excellently up to a month ago. The lens assembly won't fully retract when I zoom or power off. Likewise, it won't fully extend and gives me a 'lens error' message. Everything else works as long as I don't try to zoom.
