i get this error message whenever I attempt to scan something:
MSG_OPENDS failed with result 1 and condition code 5.

Kodak ESP 3 issue with scanning.

I owned the 5300 and it broke so I bought the ESP3. I tried to scan a photo last night for the first time and it will only save it as a PDF document. The 5300 didn't do this. What am I doing wrong or is it just the printer? This is unacceptable as I intend to make copies of old family photos.
