I have had the JVC dx107 from March 2006.In Jan 2008 the zoom would go in automatically. I had a Jessops Mastercare insurance so in it went. Came back in March 2008. Fixed only to go wrong again in summer. In it went again and came back Sept. 2008 fixed again.
Said 'new parts fitted-fully tested.
So far it's been OK. But I am not too happy with the camera overall. My insurance plan runs out in March 2009, so I will renew it. If it can't be repaired they replace camara. That's domestic and generalI paid £44 for 3 years cover. I have just rung D and G and renewal insurance for 1 year is £53.88 so i won't bother. Take a chance trade in for new camera. Sorry not a lot of help but that's my experience.

JVC dx107 problems
My camcorder is back to Jessops for a 3rd time. Now the motor is so noisy it records a hissing sound, hopeless, so while the warennty lasts it's in. there's no way I shall renew D and G warrenty at £53.88 per year! I shall get a new 'still' camera with movie clip facility instead.
I hear JVC don't have a good reputation, bit late to find out.
