I need to know how the self timer works please.

    ST functions are: 2SEC/10SEC/OFF. This mode is automatically cancelled after each shot.
    Immediately forward of the ON/OFF button there are two oblong buttons. The left button, marked with a round face and arrow is the timer button. Select and check the setting in viewfinder - 10 sec setting has countdown bars.
