Although I can connect my Sharp VL-SD20H Camcorder via firewire to my mac gigabit ethernet G4 and capture mini DV footage in Final Cut Pro, the reverse is not the case with a Windows PC. Device manager recognises the camcorder, but Premiere Pro nor Avid Media Composer do as a capture device. The camcorder is s/hand, but otherwise working fine. The manual mentions optional accessories including video capture software VR-PK100S: what looks like a cd and mini rgb to some kind of either vga or serial adapter.
I'd very much appreciate any help in tracking down these items and whether, basically, this camcorder is able to export data to a windows pc app.
