I have been given a Nikon 35mm film camera by a family member. Had camera, 2 interchangable what I thought were telescopic lenses. On my camera it says Nikon and there is an N55 which I assumed was the model. Nikon AF NIKKOR 28-80mm 1:3.3-5.6G is found on one of the lenses so I hope this information pertains to your camera. When looking at the front of the camera there is a button on the right side that when pressed releases the lens. Below this button I have just found a grey switch that can be slid from AF to M. On my camera AF is the automatic focus function and changing to M allowed me to manualy focus. Hope this helped.
