With out seeing it, I can't tell you for sure. But I would guess that something broke inside. You may be lucky and just have a loose connection, but depending on the height it was dropped from, its more likely something actually broke.

On a slightly better note, if you still have it, and have either already replaced it, or just want to get ride of it, I would be interested in buying it for parts. let me know
