printing problem from PC

just bought Canon Selphy CP 760 in Shanghai, and I cannot get it to print from IBM notebook PC, AFTER loading in the software applications that came on the disk. I keep getting a message that says I should replace the printer cartridge, but I have done that. This is right out of the box; it has never printed from the PC, altho it did print IN THE SHOP from an SD disk. PLZ ADVISE!
