Setting the Date and Time
You need to set the camera’s clock before using the
camera for the first time, and each time after installing
new batteries.
Note:
To adjust the date and time while using camera, see
“Changing the Camera Settings” on page 3-4.
Make sure you have installed the CompactFlash Card
in the camera, then follow these steps to set the
camera’s clock.
1. Slide the lens cover switch up to the
ON
position
to open the lens cover and turn on the camera.
2. On the back of the camera, slide the monitor
switch to
PLAYBACK
. A message asking you to
set the clock appears on the LCD monitor.
3. Press the
SELECT
button. The Clock Setting menu
appears with the month setting highlighted in
white.
4. If necessary, press the button to increase the
number or the button to decrease the
number, until the month is correct.
5. Press the
SELECT
button. The month setting is
saved and the day setting is highlighted.
