Basic shooting functions
Selecting a scene mode according to the
situation
When you select a scene mode according to the shooting scene or
conditions, the camera automatically selects the optimal settings.
(f mode
P-AUTO (Program Auto)
Suitable for general situations. The camera automatically adjusts to the subject.
L Landscape
Suitable for taking pictures of landscapes and other outdoor scenes. Blues and
greens are vividly reproduced.
K Landscape+Portrait
Suitable for taking pictures of your subject against a distant background. Blues,
greens, and skin tones are vividly reproduced.
h Night Scene*
Suitable for taking pictures in the evening or at night. The camera sets a slower
shutter speed than is used in normal shooting.
Since the shutter speed is slow, stabilize the camera before taking pictures.
? Night+Portrait*
Suitable for taking pictures of your subject against a distant night scene. The camera
sets a slower shutter speed than is used in normal shooting.
