Switch the mecablitz to manual mode M (choose a
partal light output level, if necessary). Set switch
on the SCA adapter to the left NORM position.
The indicator on the SCA adapter is illuminated
in green.
The indicator flashes in green to warn you
if the operating mode „TTL“ is set on the
mecablitz. In such an instance an uncontrolled
full-output flash would be fired when the pic-
ture is shot.
Operating mode „A“ or „M“ can be selected on the
camera.
mecablitz 40 MZ-...,
44 MZ-2, 50 MZ-5, 54 MZ-...
and 70 MZ-... :
The CCD ISO sensitivity and aperture settings on
the mecablitz are automatically adjusted to the
settings made on the camera. Select a suitable
aperture on the camera and choose an adequate
partial light output on the mecablitz for the existing
photographic situation.

32 MZ-3, 45 CL-3 / 4, 60 CT-4:
On the mecablitz, the CCD ISO sensitivity must be
adjusted by hand to the value set on the camera.
The aperture calculator of the mecablitz indicates
the flash-to-subject distance required for the aper-
ture selected on the camera to obtain a correct
flash exposure. Select a suitable aperture on the
camera and choose an adequate partial light out-
put on the mecablitz for the existing photographic
situation.
