My equipment/software isn't detecting the camcorder. What type of connection do i need or driver to work with this kind of camera?

4 I HAVE DM-GL2A CANON CAMCORDER THE COMPLAIN IS REWIND OR FAST FOWER STOPS AFTER WHILE AND PUT IN SAFE GUARD.
