Question About Canon Camcorder MV650i

The Cassette tab was in record area and was loading correctly in the camera. Camera was set to Camera Mode and set the tape/card switch to tape but when we tried to film the message appeared on the camera saying that "In Card Position" and unable to film. What was the problem. My Camcorder model is Canon MV630i. Thanks.
