0 In a word - No. It does have an indicator light that alerts a user that this flash if ready to fire. I guess you need to assume that if the red light is on, the unit is charged and ready to fire. According to one review I read, the first charge takes about 10 seconds, but once that's done, each additional charge takes about 1 second - that's one second.
