5 Assuming you mean the batter/memory card compartment? Use your thumb to slide the cover to the edge of the camera. This will open the compartment. As simple as that. No need for tools or to try and pry. Once inside there is a small lever securing the batter you can gently slide aside to release the batter. The memory card will eject if you press on it and release.
