0 I am investigating the same problem with my IXUS 8015. I have found a broken bayonet lug (black plastic) inside the lens cover. Use a couple of pencil rubbers to turn the inner cover CLOCKWISE to release. Mind you don't lose the two plastic lens covers in the process!
