Camcorder indicator finally shows fully charged af...

Camcorder indicator finally shows fully charged after 4 days of working with it. Now, during record it cuts off after 12 seconds and doesn't retain the recording. If I record in 10 second intervals it will retain what's shot. It stays on longer in playback mode. Have emptied the trash & reset.
