The printer alignment occurs every time I put in a new ink cartridge. This seems like a waste of ink. Is there a way to turn it off?

4 Same printer same deal. The alignment test has to be cancelled every time I power the device on. I've scoured the internet but the only solution was to let it print the alignment so it will stop. This didn't stop it for me it just wasted more ink. Now, I just leave the dumb thing on all the time unless I'm not planning on printing for awhile and then I just remember to hit cancel everytime

4 The solution sent from michael bowes was appreciated but really an insult! I have tried to cancel and it will just print another alignment the next time I try to print again. I really did have sense enough to try that already.

3 when starting the printer, as soon as it says printer alignment, hit the cancel button
