JPG images display as red button with white X through them. What am I doing wrong

0 I also have a problem with some photos displaying a white rectangle and a large red button with an X through it. Is this an issue with the photo? It doesn't matter if the photos are on the internal memory or a memory card. I checked the resolution of my photos, and the photos that will not display are not of a higher resolution than the others.
