Question About Hitachi Camcorder DZ-HS500A

I have installed image mixer 3. I cannot for the life of me find my videos from my Hitachi DZ-HS500A. I am so frustrated, can anyone help?

0 I am very frustrated as well as the manual does not explain the diff formats and how to "finalize" a disc. It's all Greek to me. (DZHS500A camcorder.
