Question About JVC Camcorder GR-D270U

When I turn on my camcorder to start recording, A "PLEASE WAIT" is displayed for almost 5 seconds. An Hour glass is showing as well. It wont let me record during that time. How do I turn that off. Please note that the 5S is turned off. email address is w_horace@yahoo.com
