0 what u need is a tv card. i brought a pci tv capture card from hauppage, it lets u insert a coax(eg tv) and svideo,(which is scart, )it also has a normal mini jack for audio input, the software that comes with it is rubbish tho and ive had a lot better luck with the free prog virtual dub. recording is quite processor intensive, and you want a second harddrive or a external one because the windows will interupt the capture if your recording to the same harddrive windows is on. Oh im presuming its an analog video recorder rather than a digital one which are very easy to copy from as they normally connect via usb.a word of warning Do Not Buy Pinnacles Dazzle thingy for recording video it is rubbish
