5 Recommendation: This model camera has numerous complains and a legal law suit pending toward JVC company. I would recommend return the camera or selling it to prevent future problems. Solution to YOUR problem: 1) Remove the batteries for 5 – 15 minutes to give the system a “cold reset” 2) Eject the Tape from the camera and close the case 3) Turn off the camera for 5 minutes 4) Clean the interior and exterior lenses on the camera 5) Insert a brand new tape into the camera and turn it back on. The system should begin a restarting the camera. What is happening? The device is having an internal mechanical error which is causing the error message to display. More than likely, this camera is either very old or has been dropped numerous times causing internal wiring to come loose.
