I have a Nikon Coolpix P4 digital camera. I very happy with this camera and love the features. I use this camera a lot. Just recently camera will not power on. Battery is charged. I did notice thou that when I open the battery compartment that a white tab fell out. Very small and I lost the tab due to being outside and it fell in the grass. I did look for it but never found it. Further inspection I see where that tab might of cam from. Above the card holder and below the battery there is a slot there and looking thru a magnifying glass looks like that is where the tab goes. On what principle does this tab work? I know it is a switch. Is it a push or lever switch? If it is a lever switch which way is on. How can I fix this so my camera will work again?
