how to erase protected pics on Stylus 840 Olympus camera...

please let me know how to erase protected pictures on my Stylus 840 Olympus camera...it says to cancel the protection feature first, but I'm not clear on how to do that...LOST my owners manual...thanks Jane p...email janepagel@comcast.net
