some of my photos come onto the frame screen sidew...

some of my photos come onto the frame screen sideways - I use the tool to rotate the picture but the next time around it comes back on sideways - how do I save it to remain as it should be?

0 I had a similar problem on the 808, so I viewed the image in preview, "turned" it all the way through (360°), back to being correct, and closed the photo. Seemed to work, but no clue why.
