Prakticar 135mm M42 fittingl lens...

Hello! Can anyone either point me to an online manual for this lens or tell me what the small 'extra piece' of metal, on the outside of the lens, secured by a small screw, is for? AND how I can use this lens in manual or 'stop-down' mode? Thank you and best wishes
