0 We have same problem. The manual says toggle the "flash symbol" (East on the compass of the control disc) but the "Flash disabled" symbol (under the battery reading and SD symbols) stays on .... doesn't change to fiash on, etc. No idea if this ever worked (we have had the camera a number of yrs, rarely used, usually on summer hols) but can't get it to work now! Looks like camera is broken or it was faulty when we got it? I think we are following the enable flash instructions OK. Any advice anyone?

0 Actually think our camera is a DS-S0S7 model ... not a DS-3037 like OP's (May 2011)
