I just got a Sankyo 8-CM off of e-bay. It seems in good condition aside from some corrosion inside the battery pack but without the manual I can't tell how to use it. At the moment it doesn't seem to work once I've put batteries in but that might be just because it doesn't have film loaded, either way I'm confident with the manual I can figure it out.

5 The camera also has a 2.7V battery, Mallory PX-14, internally to operate the exposure meter. Open the door, and in top left corner is a post with small knurled top. Pull it and let metal tab fall down towards center. The battery is behind that tab. It won't work without this battery. Mine didn't leak after 40 years! Tony

0 There is a guide on ebay (http://reviews.ebay.com/How-To-Buy-A-Super-8-Movie-Camera_W0QQugidZ10000000001941186) that might help... the thing I remember particularly from it is that when there is corrosion inside of the battery pack it usually ruins the camera--i.e., it doesn't run anymore... ("Ensure that the battery compartment is free of corrosion, a battery leak generally spells death for the delicate electronics of most Super 8 cameras"). Just thought you might want to know...
