Question About Sanyo Camcorder VPC-S1070
Error Message...

There is an error message that says "lens error" when I turn it on. Then it shuts off. How can I fix this?

5 I bought this camera for my daughter for Christmas. Christmas day it started reading lens error and then shuts off. I am very dissappointed. How do I fix it? What happened?

5 The same thing happened to me. After trying to find out how or who could fix it to no avail, I turned on the camera and pushed on the lens(the lens stuck in out position) and it popped loose and works fine now.

5 I used a toothpick so as not to scratch the lens and I circled the lens with the toothpick, getting out any dust or dirt and it worked just fine after I did this.

3 Sanyo s1070. Got for Christmas. It was working fine. I was actually, quite impressed with it after I started using it. then last night I took a couple of shots at fire works and this morning (1/1/09), put fresh original batteries in it, turned it on & the (optical 3x zoom) lens powered out but wouldn't return. Instead, I get the now famous "LENS ERROR" message, then the camera shuts off. Over & over & over. Thanks Bill .......C'Ya

3 I choose photos to be downloaded and it says no photos on device. I see photos on camera. Just can't get them to PC.

2 I have a Sanyo 10.0 Mega Pixles VPC S1070, my daughter received the camera for Christmas. On 03/13/09 we switched out the batteries and now i am getting a " Lens Error: 0x01110000. Does anyone know where we could possibly take it back, we dont have the receipt or the box it came in. All i know is that it was purchased at Wal Mart. It is obviously the manufactors problem if it is this many people. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

0 I purchased the camera as a gift and was really disappointed when they gave the camera back and asked me to return it and get a different camera

0 well i got this camera for christmas and one niight i was taking pictures one night after my basketball game and then this message showed up that theres an lens error and i was like what...i was so bumbed out...i just wished it worked...

0 I got this same camera for Xmas, but whenever I turn it on it says 'lens error' with a lot of numbers after. It then turns itself off and when I turn it on again it works fine. It's quite annoying and really weird.

0 MY CAMERA WAS BOUGHT COUPLE WEEKS AGO. BEEN WORKING GREAT WAS IMPRESSED- NOW NOTHING !! & WITH A NEW BABY I AM VERY UPSET- NOT BEING ABLE TO TAKE NEW PIC'S. 0 this camera has a built in sleep feature that shuts off the camera when inactive for a short period of time. purpose to reserve battery power. simply hit one of the buttons to turn it back on.
