why does my sanyo vpc-e2100 keep turning off, but not retracting the lens until i press the on/off button

0 This is because of the "Power Save Mode" which is set, by default, at one (1) minute. This minimizes power usage. This feature can be adjusted in the "Tools" portion of the Main Menu (right on the multi-function pad and highlight the little wrench). This feature can be set at 1 minute, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, or turned off entirely. I hope this helps. Take care, and . . . Regards, Earl

0 I don't like the way the battery compartment opens, you have to push the button up & over to the right at the same time. Other then that, its not a bad camera.
