0 To turn the camera on. With the card in (must be off to put card in, or remove) hold the "up" button for more then 2 seconds. The colon will start flashing. It doesn't record anything for three minutes. When it has something recorded the alarm icon comes on. If the alarm icon flashes the memory is full. To turn off the camera hold the down button for over 2 seconds. The colon will stop flashing. Good luck P.S. It doesn't record to cards over 2 gigs.
