Question About Sony Camcorder None
Flash...

I am unable to turn on the flash. The flash mode option is disabled, in the movie and photo settings. Wondering if I am missing something obvious.

5 Had the same problem on the SR12. You can leave the UV filter but you need to turn it out a little bit. Open the setting, and start turning until the option becomes enabled. Very irretating but good workaround. I wonder why Sony's engineers added this feature?!

5 I had the same problem with my Sony HDR SR11. The problem was that I had mounted an UV filter lens. There is a small switch in the winding which obviously disables the flash... Cheers

0 Thank you so very much for your post which now allows my onboard flash to work! Sony tech support (online and phone) did not suggest loosening the uv filter!
