Inserting cassette with window facing out. Close ...

Inserting cassette with window facing out. Close the cassette holder door. The cassette holder does not slide down as it should and the door opens again in about 5 seconds. I have looked in the 'trouble check 'section of the Operation Manual but unable to find any reference to this problem. Can you help please . Jim French
