Question About Sony Camcorder CCD-TRV12
set time...

Is it possible to set the time? My camera (manufactured in Dec 1996) just shows blanks for the spaces where the date used to appear. The manual states that time was set for EST in the factory. (Was this planned obsolescence? ;)

0 You shold replace the battery cell which is hidden under a plastic cover at the bottom of your camera. Cell is SONY CR2025 type 3V Lithium, and is the cell responsible for your camera to memorize the settings, including the date/time.
