Question About Vivitar Camcorder DVR 810HD
how long should batteries last...

I purchased the camera 4 weeks ago and used it momentarily to prove it worked. I just tried to yurn it on and nothing happens. The 'RED' light showing power flicks on for half a second but nothing else. Are the batteries likely to be flat, do they drain when shut off. Am I doing something wrong?

0 I don't know if it drains when shut off but I DO know that the batteries do NOT last very long,especially if you buy cheap ones! I am wondering the same thing my self.I have been considering buying rechargeable batteries.So if you find an answer please let me know! I also read it has a web cam in it. Do you know anything about that?

0 I have not used the camera that much and believe that even with decent batteries you only get 5 minutes video. Not much for quite a lot. I don't know about the web cam as i have not looked beyond the video functions yet. Hopefully will get more use now that the weather is getting better.
