IMPORTANT WARNING:
This charger is for rechargeable NiMH, NiCad and Li-Ion batteries ONLY! Inserting any
other batteries may damage the device, destroy the batteries and/or cause injury to
the user.
CAUTION:
• Always unplug the charger when not in use.
• Always unplug the charger from the power source before cleaning.
• Discontinue use if any of the wires or plugs are broken, frayed or damaged.
• Do not use, place or store the charger anywhere it may come into contact with
water or moisture.
• Do not use in a car when it is unattended or in direct sunlight.
• Do not short-circuit the metal contacts of the battery or charger.
• Do not disassemble, deform or reconstruct any part of the charger.
• Use this charger only with the AC adapter and car cord included.
• It is not necessary to discharge a NiMH, NiCad or Li-Ion battery prior to charging.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. You can power the charger using either an AC power
source or the cigarette lighter receptacle of any vehicle.
To use the AC adapter, connect the barrel-plug end of
the AC adapter into the back of the charger and the
other end into a standard AC outlet (Fig A). To use the
DC car charger, connect the DC car cord into the back
of the charger and the other end into the cigarette lighter
receptacle of the vehicle. The green indicator light
(FULL) will flash on then off. This indicates the charger
is ready for use.
2. To charge your battery, please refer to the compatibility guide to determine the correct
adapter plate for your battery. Some batteries can be charged on the base unit
without the use of adapter plates. This will be noted in the compatibility guide. If your
camcorder or battery is not listed in this compatibility guide, please visit
www.DuracellDirect.com/support/DRCHCAM to see a complete compatibility
listing and find the correct adapter plate for your camcorder and battery.
You may order additional adapter plates by visiting the URL above. If the adapter
plate you require for your camcorder battery is not included in the DRCHCAM
package, one adapter plate will be provided free of charge.
If an adapter plate is required to charge your battery, simply attach the appropriate
adapter plate onto the base charger unit. Line up the notch on the plate with the tab
on the base (Fig B). Push down on the plate while sliding the plate to the right
(Fig C, D). Video instructions detailing proper installation of the adapter plate onto
