Adjusting the Image Brightness (
D
Exposure Compensation)
Use this menu for shots to get the correct brightness
(exposure), such as shots with extremely high contrast
between the subject and the background.
Available Photography modes: N, <, M (➝p.57, 58,
60)
Adjusting exposure
compensation
Press D to display the exposure compensation setting
screen.
CAUTION
This function can only be used for N, <, or M in Shooting
mode.
CHECK
• The symbol indicating the compensation direction (– or
+) turns yellow.
• The S icon also turns yellow while exposure
compensation is being set and then turns blue after
setting is completed.
• The screen brightness will increase or decrease
depending on the exposure compensation setting.
APress D to open the setting screen.
BPress p or q to set the compensation
value.
CPress D to confirm the setting.
DPress the shutter button to take pictures.
