Direct printing (PictBridge) problems

For Direct printing issues, contact the printer manufacturer.
Picture is not clear ■ To automatically set exposure and focus, press the Shutter button
halfway and hold. When the AE/AF indicator turns green, press
the Shutter button completely down to take the picture.
■ Clean the lens (page 88).
■ Make sure camera is not in Macro AF mode if you are outside of the
Macro AF setting or the Flower and Close-up mode specifications.
■ Make sure camera is not in Telephoto mode if you are closer than the
telephoto focus specification.
■ Place the camera on a flat, steady surface or use a tripod, especially
in high-zoom settings or in low light.
Status Solution
Cannot locate desired picture.
■ Use the Direct print menu to change the image storage
location.
The Direct print menu display
turns off.
■ Press any button to redisplay the menu.
Cannot print pictures.
■ Ensure that there is a connection between the camera
and printer (page 21).
■ Ensure the printer and camera have power (page 21).
Camera or printer display an
error message.
