Some functions cannot be used with other menu options.
Functions That Cannot Be Used Simultaneously

Flash mode
Continuous (A51)
When a setting other than Single is selected, the flash
cannot be used.
Smile timer (A 51) When On (BSS) is selected, the flash cannot be used.
Blink proof (A51) When Blink proof is set to On, the flash cannot be used.
Self-timer Smile timer (A51)
When Smile timer is selected, the self-timer cannot
be used.
Image mode Continuous (A51)
Image mode is set as follows depending on the
continuous shooting setting:
Continuous H: 120 fps:
O (image size: 640 × 480 pixels)
Continuous H: 60 fps:
m (image size: 1920 × 1080 pixels)
Multi-shot 16:
L (image size: 2560 × 1920 pixels)
White balance
Color options
(A51)
When Black-and-white, Sepia, or Cyanotype is
selected, the White balance setting is fixed at Auto.
ISO sensitivity Continuous (A51)
When Continuous H: 120 fps, Continuous H: 60 fps,
or Multi-shot 16 is selected, the ISO sensitivity
setting is automatically specified according to the
brightness.
AF area mode
White balance
(A51)
When a setting other than Auto is selected for White
balance in Target finding AF mode, the camera
does not detect the main subject.
Smile timer Blink proof (A51)
When
Smile timer is
set to On (BSS), it changes and
is fixed at On (single) if Blink proof is set to On.
