Use this mode for dynamic action shots that freeze the action in
a single shot and record motion in a series of pictures. With
continuous shooting, instantaneous movements of moving
subjects can be captured clearly.
The camera focuses on the subject at the center of the frame.
The camera continuously adjusts the focus until the shutter-
release button is pressed halfway to lock the focus.
While the shutter-release button is pressed all the way, up to five pictures are shot at a rate
of about eight frames per second (fps) when Image quality is set to Normal and Image size
is set to F 4000×3000.
Focus, exposure and white balance are fixed at values determined with the first shot in each
series.
The frame rate with continuous shooting may vary, depending upon the current image
quality setting, image size setting, and the memory card used.
AF-assist illuminator (A196) does not light.
