Automatic Shooting of a Smiling Face
Shooting in Smile Mode
The camera detects that a face recognized with face priority is smiling and shoots
automatically.
1 Enter smile mode by pressing the
A button in shooting mode and
selecting a (press the multi
selector H or I), and then
pressing the k button.
2 Frame a picture.
Point the camera at the subject.
When the camera detects a face looking toward the
camera, the focus area containing the face will be
displayed with a yellow double border. The camera
focuses on the face framed by the double border. The
double border will glow green and focus will be locked.
Up to three faces can be detected. When the camera detects more than one face, the
face closest to the center of the frame is framed by a double border and the others by
single borders.
3 The shutter is automatically released.
If the camera detects that the face framed by the double border is smiling, the shutter is
automatically released.
When the camera detects a face, the self-timer lamp (A 4) blinks. Immediately after the
shutter is released with detection of a smiling face, the self-timer lamp flickers.
Each time the shutter is released, the camera automatically take pictures using the
recognizing face and the detecting smiling face features repeatedly.
At default settings, the blink proof function is activated (A46).
4 Exit smile mode by pressing the A button.
Change to another shooting mode.
