Shooting Options: The Shooting Menu

C Continuous
Change settings for Continuous and BSS (Best Shot Selector).
Flash will be switched off when Continuous, BSS, or Multi-shot 16 is selected.
Focus, exposure, and white balance are fixed at the values for the first image in each
series.
At settings other than Single, the indicator for the current setting is displayed in the
monitor (A6).
B Note on Continuous Shooting
The maximum frame rate with continuous shooting may vary, depending upon the current image mode
and the type of memory card used.
Set to A / B M d (Shooting menu) M C Continuous
U Single (default setting)
One image is shot each time the shutter-release button is pressed.
V Continuous
While the shutter-release button is held down, up to 4 pictures are taken at a rate of about
1.2 frames per second (fps) when image mode is set to
I
Normal (4000)

j BSS
BSS is recommended for shooting under low lighting without the flash, with the
camera zoomed in, or in other situations in which camera shake is likely to blur
pictures.
The camera takes up to ten images while the shutter-release button is held down.
The sharpest image (image with the most detail) in the series is automatically
selected and saved.
W
Multi-shot 16
Each time the shutter-release button is pressed all the way
down, 16 pictures are taken at about 7.3 frames per second and
the camera arranges them in a single picture.
Image mode is fixed at L Normal (2592) for auto mode, and
M Normal (2048) for high sensitivity mode.
Digital zoom is not available.
The setting for ISO sensitivity (A108) will be changed automatically according
to the brightness.
X Intvl timer shooting
Camera takes images automatically at specified intervals (A106).
