How to Use the POWER Button
Press the POWER button to turn the
camera ON/OFF.
CAUTION:
To save battery power, the camera automatically goes into sleep mode and
the monitor turns off if there is no operation when the camera is turned on.
No picture is taken even if the shutter lever is fully pressed in this mode.
Operate the zoom buttons or other buttons to restore the camera from sleep
mode before taking a picture. If the camera is left for 15 minutes, it
automatically turns off. Press POWER button to turn the camera on.

How to Use the h Button
Press the h button to turn on or off
the digital image stabilization of the
camera.
CAUTION:
• The digital image stabilization is set to off in the default setting for the
underwater scene modes. Set the digital image stabilization to on if
necessary.
• If the camera is severely shaken, the image stabilizer may not be as
effective.
• For details on the digital image stabilization, refer to the instruction manual
for the digital camera.
