Note:
Do Not Use Ni-Cd batteries.
Always replace both batteries at the same time.
After the camera is powered on, the battery power level icon will be
displayed on the LCD and will remain on the display when the battery is
full.
The battery power level icon will blink when the battery power is
running low. Once this happens, please replace the batteries immediately.
When replacing batteries, remember to slide the Power On/Off switch to
‘OFF’.
When the camera is loaded with lm, battery replacement must be done
within 1 minute.
When the camera is not loaded with lm and not in use for a long time,
remove the batteries.
Power Save Function
If the camera is not in use for over 250 seconds, the camera will turn off
automatically to save battery power. To re-activate the camera, either press
the Shutter Release button lightly or slide the Power On/Off Switch to ‘OFF’,
then ‘ON’ again.
About the Film Speed
The camera is designed to use DX-coded ISO100,
ISO200 or ISO400 lm. When the lm is loaded
properly, the camera automatically sets the lm
speed to ISO100 with ISO100/200 lm and to ISO400
with ISO400 lm by reading the black-and-silver
pattern on the lm cassettes.
Loading the Film
1. Open the lm compartment by pressing
downward on the Film Door Latch and gently
lifting up the lm compartment door.
2. Insert a new roll of lm into the Film Chamber
(Fig. 8).
3. Pull out the lm leader across to the lm tip mark
to reach the Film Take-Up Spool (Fig. 9).
