ASR
(Advanced Shake Reduction)
The ASR technology prevents the degradation of image clarity and
colour sometimes common in flash photography. With ASR the
effects of camera shake are reduced in lower light conditions. You
can even take well exposed, sharper pictures in low light without
using a flash at all. It guarantees brighter and more natural pictures.
Normal ASR
Wise Shot
In the delicate light condition that you can not make judgement
which mode will be optimum to get best shot, Wise Shot
automatically take two shot successively, one is ASR On Shot,
second is Flash On Shot, and store both of them to let you select
better one later.
OPS (Optical Picture Stabilisation)
Camera shake can be caused by many factors, such as hand
shaking, zooming or insufficient light. Optical Picture Stabilisation
(OPS) uses an image sensor shift mechanism that moves the
sensors in the opposite direction to the movement of the lens
(caused by camera shake) in order to correct the shake. Another
superior Samsung innovation, OPS corrects even the tiniest of
shakes.

Advanced Movie functions
MPEG-4, SVGA Quality 20fps
MPEG-4 is the high-compression high-quality movie format. The
camera provides a recording time that is 3-4 times longer than
conventional digital cameras (MJPEG), and you can record a movie
with clearer images.
Movie Stabiliser
This function is used to prevent camera shake occurring when
recording a movie. The camera detects shake automatically and
traces the target subject when recording a movie.
Pause during movie recording
This mode is used to temporarily stop recording a movie during an
unwanted scene, and then resume recording within the same file.
Built-in movie editing
This mode is used to select and cut desired scenes from a
recorded movie, and save the scenes. The mode is very
convenient because editing a movie can occur within the camera
itself, immediately after recording the movie.
Red-eye Fix
The Red-eye Fix algorithm programmed into the camera
automatically eliminates red eye in shoot and play modes, allowing
you take natural looking portrait photos.
Live Histogram
A Histogram is a graph that shows how bright an image is. Use the
histogram to help ensure the pictures you take are exposed the
way you want.
Interval Photographing
This function allows you to shoot images of subjects at regular time
intervals. Track the movement of the stars and moon, or the
blooming of a flower for the ultimate sequence shots.
Auto Macro
You can obtain clearer images regardless of distance because, in
Auto mode, the camera automatically sets the focus by detecting
the distance, ranging from close up to infinity. You can take
close-up pictures automatically even if close-up mode is not set.
