BLCworks in both Cameraand M.Cam modes.
Back lightingexistswhen the subject isdarker than the background:
The subjectis in front of a window.
The personto be recordedis wearing white or shinyclothes and is placed
against abright background;the person's face is too darkto distinguish
his/her features.
The subjectis outdoors andthe background isovercast.
The light sources are too bright.
The subjectis against a snowy background.
1. Setthe Power switchto CAMERA.
2. Setthe Mode switch to TAPE or MEMORY.
3. Pressthe BLC button.
• BLC icon (_) will be displayed.
4. To exit BLC mode, press the BLC button again.
• Eachpress of the BLC button toggles: Normal_ BLC _ Normal.

The BLC function will not operate in EASY.Q mode.
