14. LIGHTNING:
Foradded protection of this CAMCORDER duringa lightning
stormor when it is left unattended and unusedfor long periods of
time, unplug itfrom the wall outlet and disconnectthe antenna or
cable system.
This will prevent damageto the CAMCORDER due to lightning
and power-line surges.
15. POWER LINES:
Anoutside antenna system should not be locatedin the vicinity of
overhead power linesor other electric light or powercircuits where
itcan fall intosuch power linesor circuits. When installingan
outside antennasystem, extreme care should betaken to keep
from touchingsuch power linesor circuits ascontact withthem
might be fatal.
16. OVERLOADING:
Do notoverload wall outletsand extension cords as this can result
ina riskof fire or electricshock.
17. OBJECTS AND LIQUIDS:
Never push objects of any kind into this CAMCORDER through
openingsas they may touch dangerous voltage pointsor short out
a part that could result in afire or electric shock.
Never spill liquids of any kind onto the CAMCORDER. Should
spillage occur,unplug unit and have it checked by a technician
before use.
18. SERVICING:
Do not attempt toservice this CAMCORDER yourself.Opening or
removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other
hazards.
Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
19. DAMAGE REQUIRING SERVICE:
Unplug this CAMCORDER from thewall outlet and refer servicing
to qualified service personnel underthe following conditions:
a. When the power-supply cord or plug is damaged.
b. Ifany liquid has beenspilled onto,or objectshave fallen into
the CAMCORDER.
c. Ifthe CAMCORDER has been exposed to rain or water.
d. Ifthe CAMCORDER does notoperate normally by followingthe
operating instructions,adjust only those controls that are
covered by the operating instructions.Improper adjustment of
other controls may result in damageand will often require
extensive work by a qualified technicianto restore the
CAMCORDER to its normal operation.
e. Ifthe CAMCORDER has beendropped or thecabinet has been
damaged.
f. When the CAMCORDER exhibitsa distinct change in
performance, this indicates a needfor service.
20. REPLACEMENT PARTS:
When replacement partsare required,be sure the service
technician has used replacement partsspecified by the
manufacturer and havingthe same characteristics asthe original
part.
Unauthorized substitutions may result infire, electric shock or
other hazards.
21. SAFETY CHECK:
Upon completion of any service or repairsto this CAMCORDER,
ask the service technician to perform safety checks to determine
that the CAMCORDER isin safe operating order.
