• The viewfinder lens is not adjusted.
m Adjust the viewfinder lens. (p. 14)
• The contrast between the subject and background is too high.
The camcorder is not malfunctioning.
m Change locations.
• The camcorder is not malfunctioning.
• EDIT is set to ON in the menu system.
m Set it to OFF. (p. 37)
• The video heads may be dirty.
m Clean the heads using the Sony V8-25CLH/V8-25CLD
cleaning cassette (not supplied). (p. 107)
• AE SHIFT is set in the menu system.
m Set it to the centre position. (p. 35)
• AUTO LOCK/HOLD is set to the centre position and a white
balance indicator appears in the viewfinder.
m Set it to AUTO LOCK. (p. 79)
• Shooting conditions were not suitable for automatic white
balance operation.
