Can you set the camcorder to rec at a certain time...

Can you set the camcorder to rec at a certain time? example I have to go to work at 8:00 but I dont want to start rec till 9:00, is there a way to do this, since the rec time is not long on a 30 min tape. Or can I get more rec time on a 30 min tape with a certain function
